Pronto started with a simple observation — homeowners deserve better than unreturned calls and price surprises. And the hardworking crews doing the work deserve better too: a steady stream of jobs, instant payment, and zero admin. We decided to fix both sides of that equation.

Growing up in Rhode Island, both of us watched our mothers deal with the same frustrating experience over and over. Call a local service company — leave a voicemail, wait two days for a callback, get a quote that was completely different from what actually showed up on the invoice. Drive around looking for a crew with time in their schedule. Cancel plans to be home for a service window that turned out to be a six-hour block.

It wasn't just inconvenient. It was disrespectful of people's time. Our moms worked hard. They kept the household running. And every time they needed something done around the house, they had to spend hours on the phone just to get a crew to show up on a Saturday morning.

But we also talked to the crews. And their side of the story was just as frustrating. Talented, hardworking contractors spending hours every week on marketing, chasing unpaid invoices, and fielding calls from customers who never book. Business owners who got into their trade because they love the work — not because they wanted to run a marketing agency. They deserve a full calendar, instant payment, and a platform that actually works for them. Pronto was built for both sides.

What we have is a genuine belief that this is broken and that we can fix it. We spent months learning everything we could — about software, about AI, about how local service businesses actually operate. We talked to service company owners, local crews, and the homeowners who hire them. We built something we're genuinely proud of.

We're based in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and we're launching here first — in the state we grew up in, for the communities we know. With an absolute refusal to believe that booking a lawn mower should be harder than ordering a pizza.
