The short version: We collect only what we need to connect you with service crews and process your payments. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone except the service companies fulfilling your jobs and the payment processors handling your transactions. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Who we are

Pronto is a home services marketplace operated by Pronto LLC, based in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. We connect homeowners with local, vetted service companies for lawn care, pressure washing, and related outdoor services. You can reach us at hello@getpronto.org.

What information we collect

Information you provide directly:

Name, email address, and phone number when you create an account or join our waitlist
Home address and property details (such as square footage) to generate accurate quotes
Payment information — processed securely by Stripe, we never store your card number
Service preferences and booking history
Ratings and feedback you submit after a job

Information collected automatically:

Device type and operating system when you use our app
App usage data to improve our service and AI pricing model
Location data when you request a quote (zip code and address only)

How we use your information

To generate instant AI-powered quotes for your requested services
To dispatch the most suitable service crew to your location
To process payments and issue refunds when applicable
To send booking confirmations, job status updates, and re-booking reminders via SMS
To improve our AI pricing model and dispatch algorithm
To respond to your questions and support requests
To comply with legal obligations

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Service partner companies — the local crew fulfilling your job receives your first name, address, and the scope of the service. They do not receive your payment information or full contact details.
Stripe — our payment processor. Stripe handles all card data under their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance.
Twilio — our SMS provider for booking confirmations and re-booking reminders.
Supabase — our database and infrastructure provider, operating under strict data processing agreements.
Law enforcement — only when required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Independent contractor notice

The service companies and crews dispatched through Pronto are independent contractors, not employees of Pronto LLC. Pronto acts as a technology platform connecting customers with service providers. Pronto does not control the manner or means by which independent contractors perform services. Each service company is responsible for maintaining appropriate licenses, insurance, and professional standards. Pronto LLC is not liable for the acts, omissions, or conduct of any independent contractor service provider.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@getpronto.org. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, except where we are required to retain data by law.

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of your data
Opt out of marketing SMS messages at any time by replying STOP
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

SMS communications

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Pronto including booking confirmations, job status updates, and re-booking reminders. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP.

Security

We take data security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Our database is protected by row-level security ensuring each user can only access their own data. We conduct regular security audits and follow industry best practices. However, no system is completely secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@getpronto.org.

Children's privacy

Pronto is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the app. Continued use of Pronto after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
